With so many paperless ways to communicate these days, it's a wonder that the fax machine hasn't gone the way of the manual typewriter. Yet just about every office still has them, which perplexes Post Grad Problems scribe Johnny D. "I’m not mad at fax machines. I’m just confused," he writes. "I think the main reason most offices still have fax machines is because they’re quite literally too hard to remove from an office...Why are people still listing their fax numbers on their business cards? That’s weird, no?...There is no logical reason for fax machines outside of the fact that we’re just appealing to the older, prone-to-senility crowd...It simply doesn’t seem like a piece of technology that we need anymore, but maybe I’m missing something."
