On Wednesday, Kerry Johnson pled guilty to robbing a West Virginia bank so he could keep gambling at a nearby casino. While playing blackjack at the Mardi Gras Casino in the town of Nitro, Johnson set down a $25 chip so the dealer would hold his chair. He then drove to a bank and, claiming to have a gun and bomb, walked out with $5,000 in stolen cash. So where’d he go next? Back to the same casino with all that cash, much of which he proceeded to lose. In court, Johnson admitted to being a gambling addict and said the day of the robbery "was kind of a blur." He now faces five to 18 years in prison.
