Princeton University To Offer Free Tuition To Families Who Make This Amount

Princeton University is changing the game for families who make less than $100,000 a year by offering free tuition to those qualifying students.

"One of Princeton's defining values is our commitment to ensure that talented students from all backgrounds can not only afford a Princeton education but can flourish on our campus and in the world beyond it," President Christopher Eisgruber said. "These improvements to our aid packages, made possible by the sustained generosity of our alumni and friends, will enhance the experiences of students during their time at Princeton and their choices and impact after they graduate."

This will take place starting in 2023 and don't worry if you don't qualify because families who do make more than $100k will still be able to get financial aid. Princeton is making an effort to be more inclusive with the expanded scholarship program and the new policies take place for undergraduate students starting for the fall 2023 semester. According to ABC 7, those that qualify will pay nothing for tuition or room & board and it is said that more than 25% of the student body will be receiving this type of financial aid. THIS IS SO GREAT! Student debt is such a burden and Princeton is making amazing choices in helping out those who would love to go to college but can't afford it. According to Princeton's site, the cost of attendance for 2022-2023 is $79,540.
