You know how much I LOVED The Drunken Monkey in Fort Collins and how SAD I was when they closed the doors.. BUT.. Last night I got to see the completely renovated digs of where the DM used to be and WOW.. The Bar District completely blew me away! Right from the moment you walk through the new entrance on College Avenue in Old Town, you KNOW you're about to see something special. It's more than double the space and capacity of the old DM and it almost unrecognizable after this complete overhaul. It's called the "Bar District" because it has multiple bars inside all with their own specialty drinks.. Including the "Vice Bar" which has the best frozen adult Lemonade I've had in my entire life! The Bar District also features a stage for live music down the road which is going to be absolutely AMAZING! We can't wait to get some shows lined up when live music makes its comeback. The New Bar & Restaurant offers a variety of food (Pizza, Wings etc..) as well so pop bye for some snacks, enjoy a beverage, and experience what will be an absolute staple in the Old Town Ft. Collins scene for years to come! Congrats to the fam for putting together such an amazing establishment for Northern Colorado to enjoy.. I for one, can not wait to go back!
