NOFX Dropped From Their Tour After Vegas Remarks

In what might be even dumber than the Rosanne debacle.. Punk band NOFX has been dropped from its own festival, Punk in Drublic, after tasteless remarks made by two band members about the Route 91 Massacre during a performance in Las Vegas this past weekend. “While NOFX is known for their dark, uncomfortable humor, the festival producers of Camp Punk In Drublic are shocked and disappointed by the band’s recent statements about the Route 91 Harvest Festival victims and country music fans," festival organizers said in a statement announcing that NOFX would be replaced by Descendents. NOFX also got dumped by a beer sponsor, Stone Brewing, after frontman "Fat Mike" Burnett and guitarist Eric Melvin said that they were glad it was country fans, not punk fans, who were shot during the deadliest mass shooting in U.S. history at the Route 91 Harvest Festival in Vegas last year. Why on God's earth would anyone EVER think it would be OK to say something like that?? Honestly, I hope we never hear from NOFX again.. I for one, wouldn't even notice. A B CYA!
