On Tuesday in Merritt Island, Florida, Jonathan Hinkle called 911, claiming that his grandmother had just suffered a stroke in the parking lot of a nearby Hooters and that he needed a ride there to assist her. Deputies were then dispatched to the Hooters in question, where they failed to locate Hinkle’s grandma. When they finally tracked her down, she denied that she was sick or at Hooters. Police then picked up Hinkle, but instead of driving him to Hooters, they arrested him and drove him to Brevard County Jail.
