Earlier this month, Redding, California's North State Symphony performed Stravinsky's "Firebird." Part of the piece features calming woodwinds played in a way that is so relaxing, one woman in the audience fell asleep to it... only to be harshly awoken at the next movement, which begins with a loud boom from the bass drum.
The sound shocked the audience member so much she woke up not just with a jolt, but an ear-piercing scream as well.
Other audience members, the musicians and even the conductor all had to let out a chuckle at the disruption.
