Mark Hoppus Introduces Fans To The Newest Member Of His Family

Mark Hoppus is a dog lover and animal rights activist, so it's no wonder the newest member of his family is a rescue dog.

Over the weekend, the blink-182 bassist introduced fans to Doug — a sweet pup who was abandoned and left to die on the streets of Texas.

"New dog, who dis? Her name is Doug," Hoppus captioned a series of photos on Instagram. "She was found abandoned, starving, infected with horrible mange, and next to her sibling who’d passed away. On the side of the road in Texas. Now she’s healing and chilling in California."

See the touching post below.

Doug is in for a sweet life with the Hoppuses. We just hope her big brother, Xavier, is okay with someone else getting attention.

Mark rescued the beagle (who's pictured alongside his new sister in the Instagram post above) after he caught word Xavier was days away from euthanization.

"When he was first in our house he’d been so horribly abused by his previous owner that anytime you went to pet him he would cower," Mark told Forbes back in 2017. "[But] since then he’s become the best dog we’ve ever had and is great with our son and great with other dogs and is the happiest, kindest dog you can ever hope to meet."
