Burt Reynolds Passes Away at 82 :(

Burt was the man. Period. Sad day in Hollywood. Although everyone knows him from Smokey and the Bandit and many other great films, my favorites by Burt were the movies Cop and a Half, The Dukes of Hazzard Movie, and The Longest Yard. Super Bummer!

Burt Reynolds, one of Hollywood's most popular leading men in the '70s and early '80s, passed away at his home in Jupiter, Florida, on Thursday at the age of 82. A macho, Southern-bred sex symbol whose chest hair tempted a nation to nuzzle (oh, that Cosmo centerfold!), Reynolds starred in such hits as Smokey and the Bandit, Cannonball Run, Deliverance, and Best Little Whorehouse in Texas, and received an Oscar nomination for his comeback turn in 1997's Boogie Nights. His marriage to WKRP in Cincinnati star Loni Anderson was among the first modern tabloid romances--and divorces--and he had a long-running fling with his Smokey co-star, Sally Field. He is survived by his adopted son, Quinton, from his second marriage, and was set to appear in Quentin Tarantino's upcoming Charles Manson biopic at the time of his death.
