(Yahoo!) - Chances are, you've probably heard of the modern-day take on hula-hooping that has sparked an entire movement of its own. It's termed "hooping," and it's fast captured an entire following of devotees who swear by it as an art form, teaching aid, and even an instrument of redemption.

It stands to reason that a documentary would finally be made that captures the origins and rise of hooping. "The Hooping Life," which arrives April 22, chronicles a six-year journey chronicling some of the movement's best performances (from arenas to the streets) and surprising members -- including Shaquille O'Neal and Art Linkletter!

British electronic duo Basement Jaxx provide the buoyant score for the film, and Yahoo Music is excited to premiere their new video for "Hooping Life," a song they wrote just for this project. The video was directed by "The Hooping Life" director Amy Goldstein, and features some of the real hoopers in the film.

If you enjoyed Basement Jaxx's take on the movement, "The Hooping Life" also features additional music by the Scissor Sisters, and an appearance by popular jam-band The String Cheese Incident. For more info on "The Hooping Life," visit here.
