A 53-year-old NYC man found the person he mugged 35 years ago and apologized to him in a Facebook post.
He was a teenager and was trying to impress someone when he waltzed up to the younger kid at the Museum of Natural History and demanded his bus pass.
There were undercover cops standing right there and he was arrested on the spot.
But he never forgot the name of the man he mugged (Claude Soffel).
He spotted the name on a Facebook thread about the closing of a NY bagel shop and decided to ask for forgiveness in the comments section.
The boy he mugged, now a 52-year-old who coaches men how to become better fathers, accepted the apology, calling him a "bigger man" today.
