The Echo Nest, which provides a music intelligence platform to popular services like Spotify and Rdio, has created an awesome map that reveals Fourth of July musical preferences by region, state, and across the United State. Some of the findings are to be expected: The nation's capital, Washington D.C., listens to the most patriotic songs on July 4. Meanwhile, more specifically, Oklahoma residents dig Lee Greenwood's "God Bless the USA" and Oregonians prefer Sugarland's "Everyday America." And in North Dakota, for some inexplicable reason, they prefer Miley Cyrus' "Party in the U.S.A."
